Insulated Beer Can Holder
A printed can holder keeps your hand dry and the can cold, but only if you get the air gap right. Solid walls conduct heat almost as fast as a bare hand — the insulation comes from a double wall with trapped air between the layers.

What actually matters
- Use 0% infill in the double wall. Filling it destroys the insulation and you have printed a heavy cup.
- Measure your cans. Standard is 66 mm but slim and imported cans differ, and a holder that grips too tightly will not come off.
- PETG over PLA if it lives in a car. PLA softens around 55 °C and a parked car reaches that easily.
Questions
Does it fit both 330 ml and 500 ml cans?
The diameter is the same; only height differs. A 500 ml can sticks out of a 330 ml holder but still grips — generate the taller version for full coverage.
Is printed plastic safe around drinks?
The holder only touches the outside of the can, so it is fine. Never print something the drink flows through — layer lines trap bacteria.
