Desk Headphone Stand

Most printed headphone stands tip over because the base is too light for the leverage of a headset sitting 250 mm up. The fix is not a bigger base — it is a base with a cavity you can weight, plus a cradle wide enough that the headband is not pinched.

Fits: Over-ear headsets up to 200 mm headband width

What actually matters

  • Pause the print at the top of the base cavity and drop in coins, sand, or a steel washer stack. A weighted base is the single change that stops a stand tipping.
  • A wide, flat cradle preserves headband padding. Narrow hooks put all the pressure on one line and leave a permanent dent.
  • Printing the column vertically makes it look better but weaker. If it will get knocked, thicken it rather than reorienting.

Questions

Will it hold a heavy gaming headset?

Yes, with the base weighted. Empty, a tall stand and a 400 g headset is marginal — add mass to the cavity.

Can I mount it under the desk instead?

That is a different part — a clamp arm rather than a stand. Generate a under-desk headphone hook instead of adapting this one.

Need it in a different size, or with more slots?
