Vertical Laptop Stand
A closed laptop lying flat wastes a large rectangle of desk. On edge it takes almost nothing, and if you run an external monitor it is where the laptop should live anyway. The gap width is what has to match your machine.

What actually matters
- Measure your laptop closed, with any case on. A gap even 2 mm too narrow will scratch the lid every time you slide it in.
- Line the channel with felt or print a TPU insert. Bare plastic against an aluminium lid marks it.
- Keep the base wide and deep — a laptop on edge has a high centre of gravity and a narrow base tips.
Questions
Will it fit a thick gaming laptop?
Generate it with a wider gap. Some gaming laptops are over 25 mm closed.
Can it hold two laptops?
Generate a double-slot version — do not force two into one channel.
